DC Firehouses Energy Efficiency

Background

BHI's Sustainability Consulting team collaborated with a lighting installation team to upgrade lighting across five  firehouses and the fleet maintenance facility in Washington DC. This initiative aimed to reduce energy costs, improve visibility for firehouse personnel, and address long-standing deferred maintenance issues. By implementing a modern lighting solution, BHI successfully enhanced safety, efficiency, and operational sustainability within these essential public service facilities.

BHI’s sustainability team executed a comprehensive lighting upgrade tailored to meet the unique needs of the firehouses and maintenance facility. Key contributions included:
